Khaberni - Petra University President, Professor Dr. Rami Abdel Rahim, welcomed the Greek Ambassador in Amman, Eirini Riga, to discuss ways to enhance academic and research cooperation and develop partnerships in the field of dentistry.
Abdel Rahim emphasized the university's commitment to opening cooperation channels with prestigious Greek universities, adding that the meeting focused on exchanging academic expertise and exploring the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding, which includes student exchange and joint clinical training, to serve the aspirations of both parties.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Firas Al-Sleihat, and faculty members from the National University of Athens. The visiting delegation was briefed with a visual presentation documenting Petra University’s journey and the development of its infrastructure and technology across various specialties.
Riga also met His Excellency Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mweis, and the Director of Petra Education Company, Engineer Khaled Iraim. At the end of the visit, the university president presented a commemorative shield to the ambassador in appreciation of her efforts to support cultural and scientific communication.
The Greek Ambassador expressed her admiration for the advanced level the university has reached, especially the use of modern technology in the facilities of the Faculty of Dentistry, affirming the importance of continued coordination and joint work to achieve the goals of cooperation between the academic institutions in both countries.
