His Highness the Crown Prince, during an event for lighting the Christmas tree in Al-Salam Square in Madaba Governorate, affirmed that Jordan is a model to be emulated in brotherhood and tolerance, wishing that the new year brings goodwill to Jordan and its people.
The Governor of Madaba, Hassan Al-Jbour, noted during the event the importance of the authentic Hashemite values that present to the world a steadfast model in human brotherhood and love.
The pastor of the Latin Church in Madaba, Reverend Father Tareq Abu Hanna, in his speech, expressed the appreciation of the Christian communities in Madaba for the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince among them to share their joy in the holidays and the lighting of the Christmas tree.
Isa Al-Bawarid, Director of Madaba Waqfs, pointed out that Madaba embodies the image of harmony, peace, and goodness.
The tree lighting ceremony included a musical performance by the Scout Band of the Latin Monastery and the Greek Orthodox Scout Band.
The event was attended by several Christian clergies, dignitaries, and representatives from the Christian communities in Madaba.
