Khaberni - The Media Authority has banned the promotion, advertising, or publicity of the "Shamousah" heater, which has caused suffocation accidents and fatalities to several families.
Following is the statement of the authority: "Following the General Security Directorate's statement concerning unfortunate incidents resulting from the use of the product commonly known as the 'Shamousah' heater, in all its types, which led to suffocation and fatalities among several families, and reaffirming what was mentioned, and considering the direct risk this product poses to the lives of citizens and public safety, please be informed that any promotion, advertisement, or publicity of this product is prohibited."
In its statement, the Media Authority urged the media "to comply with the content of this circular to avoid legal responsibility, noting that this circular encompasses communicative tools on social media belonging to licensed media institutions."
