Fields of Civilizational Interaction Media Domain
الكاتب: ا.د فكري الدويري

Khaberni - Media is a humanitarian message, and this is applicable to any type of media regardless of its various arts and doctrines if it carries a principal message that is connected to values and ethics whether linked to ideology or not, it is crucial that it is bound by fulfilling the human interest.
It suffices that the media’s message is humanitarian, making it attentive to human and social rights, responsive to the values of justice, truth, and human dignity, and keen on the values of responsible freedom, and encouraging hygiene and purity. And what is better than these humanitarian values, which are the safety valve for any life sought by humanity, but unfortunately, media may sometimes, for one reason or another, mold human thinking negatively to achieve the goals of the new world order in spreading degeneration, blasphemy, and distortion of the values of heaven in general.
The human interest demands that everyone, especially the West, recognize that the use of media to market an audio, visual, and written culture at a level full of triviality, poverty, and superficiality cannot adversely affect only the Muslim world. Rather, the West itself will suffer from these actions that entrench utilitarian, individualistic, and materialistic values devoid of any humane content.
Media outlets that target developing the present and future of the human nation must ensure their media content develops minds, elevates inclinations, and promotes positive directions to encourage self-motives for knowledge and learning, and increase the ability for criticism and choice for everything that is beneficial for the individual and humane society.
All media tools can be utilized for this positive direction, with the objective of raising awareness and providing guidance and general advice, due to their utmost importance in persuasion, and their effect in enhancing attitudes for the benefit of all.
The interest of humanity requires there to be a civilizational interaction that enables the media to perform its educational and informational role as required, free from media theories that entrench coercive power or unrestrained freedom, or promote theories and ideas proven to fail and harm humanity due to their disadvantages.
Humanity has greatly suffered from the subjugation of media by powers that make media their means to antagonize nations, and to justify painful military strikes in several regions of the world under dubious justifications, whereas the truth is serving the goals and illegitimate desires of these powers.
The human interest requires that the world comes together on ethics that value the word, respect and appreciate the receiver, by building values that sanctify work and production, ensure equal opportunities, and contribute to creating new models for responsible consumption, and reject extravagant consumption, and that the preferred models for the masses are those of scientists, researchers, and producers, and not those frivolous factions which pave their way through unhealthy means and methods.
The field of media needs education and formation that guarantee the presence of professional ethics, and freedom of media to become a tool of education that helps in rationalizing personal behavior as being primarily civilized, and assists in creating a modern culture that considers what is beneficial in the heritage of nations and peoples, and provides an opportunity for diverse opinions within the framework of joint human responsibility.
