New Medical Achievement in Jordan Successful Kidney Transplant Despite Immunological Challenges

Khaberni - In an unprecedented event recorded for the first time at the Ministry of Health level, the Al-Bashir Hospitals Administration announced the success of a quality kidney transplant operation on a patient suffering from chronic kidney failure, despite significant immunological challenges characterized by positive antibody tests, positive Crossmatch test, and positive DSA test.
The patient underwent an advanced protocol for antibody removal (Desensitization) within Al-Bashir Hospitals, using the latest globally practiced therapeutic technologies, which contributed to reducing the levels of immune sensitivity and reaching a safe level for the transplantation.
The operation was fully successful, performed by the kidney transplant team in Al-Bashir Hospitals under the supervision of Dr. Walid Al-Halabi, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and its branches, with excellent stabilization in the functions of the transplanted kidney after the procedure.
This qualitative medical accomplishment comes with direct support and active follow-up by the Jordanian Ministry of Health, within the framework of its strategic vision to enhance the capabilities of government hospitals and enable them to provide organ transplantation services and high-complexity specialized care according to the highest international standards, and in alignment with the ministry’s plans to localize advanced treatments within the Kingdom.
This success represents a qualitative step that enhances the status of Al-Bashir Hospitals and the Ministry of Health as advanced centers in providing organ transplantation services and complex specialized care.
Al-Bashir Hospitals administration, represented by the general director Dr. Ali Al-Abdallat, confirms its continued development of organ transplantation programs and the provision of the latest therapeutic protocols, in integration with the Jordanian Ministry of Health, to serve patients with the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
