Medical Syndicate resolves 71 complaints and refunds eight thousand dinars to complainants during the year 2025

Khaberni - The head of the Complaints Committee and the Fee Estimation Committee in the Medical Syndicate, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Tarawneh, revealed the "Regulatory Harvest" report for the year 2025, announcing a package of stringent measures to regulate the professional and financial path in the medical sector. The report includes activating a decision to raise the complaint submission fee to 80 dinars, in a step aimed at institutionalizing regulation and ensuring the accuracy of the technical reports issued by the specialized committees.

Dr. Tarawneh confirmed that the Syndicate dealt very seriously with 71 complaints received, where the committee did not only stop at administrative review, but formed 53 specialized technical committees consisting of 159 doctors from the elite consultants, ensuring the highest standards of impartiality and accuracy in issuing professional judgments.
According to the statistics presented by Tarawneh, the results of handling the files were as follows:
Resolved and filed 53 files: after proving their compliance with medical standards.
Transferred 5 doctors to the Disciplinary Council: for imposing deterrent penalties against them.
18 files under execution: awaiting the completion of technical responses from hospitals.

Tarawneh reviewed the statistical distribution of complaints by specialties, with orthopedic surgery leading with 14 complaints, followed by gynecology and obstetrics with 9 complaints, then in-vitro fertilization with 8 complaints, while the rest were distributed among cosmetic, psychiatric, and brain and nerve sectors with 6 complaints each.
On the front of "Fee Estimation," Dr. Tarawneh announced the committee's success in recovering financial amounts for the citizens with a total value of 8402 dinars, after proving existence of exaggerated medical fees or violations of the approved fee schedule, asserting that the Syndicate will not allow any financial transgression that affects the citizen’s pocket.

In an awareness message, Dr. Tarawneh clarified that the Syndicate opens its doors to all complainants, indicating that the citizen can reclaim their right through three official and integrative channels:
1-Medical Syndicate: for professional and conduct accountability, and fee estimation.
2-Ministry of Health: for surveillance on facilities and licensing.
3-Jordanian judiciary: for claiming civil rights and compensations.
Tarawneh concluded his statement by warning against falling for the "cosmetic surgery craze" and misleading advertisements on social media, urging citizens to verify the identity and specialization of the doctor through the official channels of the Syndicate before undergoing any medical intervention, to maintain their safety.
Moreover, Tarawneh praised his colleagues, the doctors committed to the rules, regulations, and statutes of the Medical Syndicate, and the workers in the medical constitution, to which the doctors swore an oath, and the high medical professionalism and ethics that distinguish Jordanian doctors.
