Khaberni - Today, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, Eyal Zamir, conducted a situation assessment in Division 91 with the commander of the Northern Command on the border with Lebanon according to the Israeli media.
Zamir said, "We will not allow the enemy to gain more strength, and we will respond to any violation - our approach is clear. Yesterday, we eliminated Raed Saad, a prominent member of the military wing of Hamas, who led and executed operations for over thirty years, and was one of the architects of the October 7 attack. His involvement in Hamas's attempts to rebuild and reinforce is a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement. Shortly after, we eliminated the Chief of Staff of Hezbollah; we will not allow the enemy to gain more strength, and we will respond to any violation of the agreement. Our policy is clear, in all sectors and here in Lebanon too - we will continue to act and thwart threats as they arise."
He added according to the Israeli media: "We will not allow factions or armies to position themselves within our borders, and we will preemptively thwart them. The Israeli army forces are stationed on the front lines of defense, spread out at observation points. Our forces are establishing security lines in all arenas, in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. Our presence at these points allows for better protection alongside the freedom of movement for the forces. On the Lebanese border, we also form a buffer zone between the enemy and the settlements, and defend from the front according to the principle we have set."
At the same time, a spokesman for the Israeli army reported that since October, Israel has assassinated about 40 Hezbollah members in around 30 different villages in southern Lebanon, and claimed that Hezbollah violated the agreement more than 1900 times.
