Haaland leads City to a 30 victory over Crystal Palace

Khaberni - Norwegian international striker Erling Haaland led his team Manchester City to reclaim from London with a precious victory over Crystal Palace 3-0, including a brace on Sunday in the sixteenth round of the English Premier League.

Haaland opened the scoring (41) and Phil Foden added the second goal (69), before the Norwegian signed off on his brace in the 89th minute from a penalty kick.

With this victory, the team managed by Spanish coach Pep Guardiola increased their points to 34, narrowing the gap to two points with the leader Arsenal, who won against Wolverhampton on Saturday 2-1, with a total of 36 points.

The home side clearly dominated the first half, but the Italian international goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma excelled in stopping several attempts, before the crossbar intervened to repel a shot by Spanish player Yeremi Pino from inside the penalty area (17).

Haaland snatched the first goal with a header from inside the box to the left of the host goalkeeper Dean Henderson, benefiting from a precise cross from the right side by Portuguese Mateus Nunes (41).

Donnarumma continued his saves in the second half, which saw a noticeable improvement on City's offensive front, resulting in a second goal signed by Foden with a left-footed shot from outside the area to the left of Henderson (69).

As the match drew to a close, Henderson fouled the Brazilian substitute Sávio, leading the referee to award a penalty kick which Haaland successfully converted, scoring his second goal of the match and his 17th in the league this season, thereby strengthening his lead in the top scorers' table with six goals ahead of his closest competitor, Brazilian Igor Thiago, striker for Brentford with 11 goals.
