Marmoush Rings the Alarm at Manchester City Is it Time to Leave

Khaberni - Media reports revealed the position of Egypt national team star Omar Marmoush, striker at Manchester City, regarding his potential move to Barcelona during the upcoming summer transfer period.
Omar Marmoush joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 and succeeded in delivering a good performance in the second half of last season, but everything changed this season as he no longer features in the plans of coach Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola prefers to rely on the services of Erling Haaland in attack, alongside Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku, while resorting to Marmoush in cup matches and maybe as a substitute in a few league matches.

The English network "onefootball" mentioned that Marmoush is open to a new experience during the next summer transfer period, considering his limited participation as a starter, which provides him a legitimate reason to feel frustrated as Guardiola prefers other players to support Haaland like Ryan Cherki, Tjærn Rindarøy, and Phil Foden.
Marmoush is 27 years old and is at the peak of his career and does not want to spend another season as a backup as Manchester City seeks to rebuild the team under the leadership of sporting director Hugo Viana, who also brought Antoine Semenyo to the club in January.

The network clarified that Barcelona will not be the only club interested in signing Omar Marmoush at the end of the current season, as he will also attract interest from other clubs in Europe

Marmoush was previously linked with a possible departure from Manchester City last January with interest from several clubs such as Tottenham, Aston Villa, Borussia Dortmund, Galatasaray, and others.

In the meantime, recent media reports have indicated that Marmoush is on Barcelona’s radar, where he is considered the second option for the administration after Julian Alvarez, the star of Atletico Madrid.
