Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II, today, Sunday, reviewed the government's plan to develop the first phase of the Umrah City project, which includes the construction of the Hussein bin Abdullah II International Stadium.
During a meeting held at the Al Husseiniya Palace in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, His Majesty emphasized the necessity of adopting a collaborative approach in planning and managing all major projects, considering the financial, economic, and social dimensions.
His Majesty the King stressed the importance of these projects in providing job opportunities for the youth, improving the quality of life, and encouraging investment.
The meeting discussed the overall projects of the first phase of the new city, where Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan pointed out the strategic aspirations embodied by the project in terms of sustainable urban development, and long-term population growth management, which contributes to alleviating pressure on the cities of Amman and Zarqa, through effective partnerships with the private sector, to ensure sustainability and attract local and international investments.
