Khaberni - The head of the Network of NGOs in Gaza, Amjad al-Shawa, said on Saturday that the occupation destroyed 85% to 90% of the facilities and homes in the Gaza Strip, and most of the infrastructure and sewage systems.
He added that the Israeli occupation authorities only allowed no more than 40,000 tents out of 300,000, stating that "these tents are not a solution and do not protect against rain or cold and do not relieve the impact of the low pressure," according to Al Mamlaka channel.
Al-Shawa pointed out that "61 million tons of rubble from the Israeli bombing are still scattered across areas of the Gaza Strip, and there are no mechanisms to remove the rubble," noting that 900,000 tons of waste are scattered throughout the sector.
He further stated that children in Gaza will be susceptible to many health problems leading them to destruction, amid a blatant failure by the international community to pressure the occupation to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to the besieged sector.
Al-Shawa described the humanitarian situation on the ground in Gaza as very harsh and tragic, with very limited livable spaces, noting that the occupation prevents the entry of equipment and machinery that would help alleviate the severity of the weather depression on Gaza.
