Ammoutas Statements and Salamis Professionalism
الكاتب: المحامي سلطان نايف العدوان

Khaberni - Congratulations to the Jordanian team for reaching the semi-finals.

A well-deserved qualification that resulted from clear teamwork, high spirit, and a sense of responsibility that appeared on the field before any off-field discussions.

At this stage, we listened to the former coach Hussein Ammouta’s statements about his experience with the team, where he described it as unprofessional, and he spoke negatively about the nature of the work, preparations, and decisions that were part of his role during that period. This presentation, issued from a former position, turned into a public message at a time when the team needs support and stability.

In any professional career, time remains an important indicator. The dismissal of Ammouta from Al-Jazeera club after thirteen months has re-raised the question of continuity and coherence in any sporting project, where the duration of the experience reflects the nature of the relationship with the system as much as it reflects the outcomes.

Professionalism is not only evident during the tenure but also in the way one departs from it. A quiet exit preserves the value of the experience, safeguards what has been accomplished, and leaves the evaluation in its proper place without reflecting on the next phase.

From an organizational perspective, contracts should include clear clauses for post-disclosure, and any action against those who violate them should be enforced. Nevertheless, true professionalism, for those who claim it, does not always require a contract or a clause but calls for integrity, responsibility, and respect for the position represented.

In contrast, what distinguishes our team today is clear to everyone: the motivation is the love for Jordan. A love that has turned into responsibility, and this responsibility is reflected in the commitment on the field. The players carry the jersey and raise its emblem after every match as a covenant.

Those who follow the players' statements after each game hear talks of loyalty, commitment, and duty towards the homeland, which in itself is a source of pride for all Jordanians.

Yesterday, we saw a different image of leadership. Salami's tears were genuine, and your tears, Salami, are precious to all Jordanians, drawing a covenant of trust and respect among us.
Leadership, when it is humane, is seen in the action before the words.

As for the hero Yazan Al-Naimat, in his toughest moments and with his injury, he advised the audience to stand with the players, went down to the field, attended the game, and supported his colleagues while in pain. This behavior explains the meaning of belonging more than any speech.

All the best wishes to Yazan Naimat for a speedy recovery, as his presence and positive energy are of great value on and off the field.

In the end, the national team is bigger than any stage, and outlasts any individual experience.
What makes a difference is sincerity, commitment, respect for timing, and leaving a legacy where it should remain.
