Saudi Arabia 19576 individuals apprehended in one week for violating residency employment and border security regulations

Khaberni - The joint field campaigns to monitor and control violators of residency, employment, and border security systems, which were conducted in all regions of Saudi Arabia from 13/ 06/ 1447H (corresponding to 04/ 12/ 2025) to 19/ 06/ 1447H (corresponding to 10/ 12/ 2025), resulted in the following outcomes:

Firstly
: The total number of violators apprehended by the joint security field campaigns across the kingdom was 19,576, comprising 12,506 for residency violations, 4,154 for border security violations, and 2,916 for employment violations.

Secondly
: A total of 1,418 individuals were apprehended while attempting to cross the border into the Kingdom, 41% of whom were of Yemeni nationality, 57% Ethiopian, and other nationalities making up 2%. Additionally, 24 individuals were caught attempting to cross the border out of the Kingdom in an irregular manner.

Thirdly
: 16 individuals were apprehended for transporting, harboring, employing violators of residency, employment, and border security regulations, and for covering up their activities.

Fourthly
: A total of 30,427 violating expatriates are currently undergoing procedures for enforcing the regulations, including 28,718 men and 1,709 women.

Fifthly
: 21,803 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 5,202 violators to complete their travel bookings, and 12,365 violators were deported.

The Interior Ministry reaffirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security system violators to the Kingdom, their transportation within it, provides them shelter, or offers any assistance or service in any form, exposes themselves to penalties including up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million Saudi Riyals, confiscation of the transportation and housing used for the shelter, in addition to public denunciation.

It clarified that this crime is considered a major one that warrants detention and is compromising to honor and integrity, urging the public to report any cases of violations at the number (911) in the regions of Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the kingdom's regions.
