The Israeli Occupation Ratifies 19 New Settlements in the West Bank

Khaberni - The Israeli occupation's small ministerial cabinet for political and security affairs "the Cabinet," approved the establishment of 19 new settlements in the occupied West Bank.

According to the proposal of the extremist Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, and the extremist Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, among these settlements are "Ganim" and "Kadim," which were evacuated in 2005 under the Disengagement Plan from the Gaza Strip and the northern West Bank.

Israeli media reported on Friday that among the settlements approved, are "old settlements alongside others in advanced stages of establishment."

The settlements that were approved for establishment are: "Ish Kodesh, Lani, Givat Harel, Ganim, Har Bizk, Ya'ar El Kern, Yatziv, Yitav West, Kadim, Kochav Hashachar North, Kida, Mishol, Nahal Doron, Bani Kidem, Reihanit, Rosh HaAyin East, Shalim, Tamun."

The "Nachala" settlement movement considered that "the Israeli government's decision to return to the settlements of Ganim and Kadim is an important decision and a clear declaration that all the land of Israel is ours," and that "just as the Israeli government enjoyed the return to setting up settlements that were destroyed in the northern West Bank, it will enjoy reestablishing Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip."

Smotrich announced a plan to allocate 2.7 billion shekels, as part of the state budget for 2026, to establish 17 new settlements in the West Bank over the next five years.
