Official Complaint from the Heirs of Abdel Halim Against a Concert

Khaberni - The heirs of the late artist Abdel Halim Hafez, through their legal representative, announced the filing of an official complaint with the relevant authorities to stop a concert in Kuwait, which is named "Halim," due to the organizing company's infringement on their rights and failure to adhere to certain agreements made between them and the company.

Yasser Kantoush, the lawyer for the heirs of the artist Abdel Halim Hafez, issued an official statement today, Wednesday, saying: "The family of the artist Abdel Halim Hafez was in the process of contracting for two concerts with a company under the name 'Halim,' dedicated to the songs of the artist Abdel Halim Hafez, scheduled for the 11th and 12th of this current December in one of the Arab countries."

Artificial Intelligence Announcement
The statement added: "The concerts were agreed to be held through contracts with Egyptian artists Hani Shaker and Khaled Selim, and indeed, a verbal agreement was reached with the family to grant the company the right to use the name and image of Abdel Halim Hafez without using any advertisement under his name or image. However, after the contracts were signed and emailed, the family was surprised that the company did not fulfill all the obligations mentioned in the contract, but exceeded this by contracting with advertisers and sponsors without the family's approval or knowledge, in addition to issuing an advertisement using artificial intelligence without authorization or permission from the heirs."

"We address the officials"
The statement continued: "What happened from the company represents a clear violation of the intellectual property rights of the artist Abdel Halim Hafez, and therefore, the family is addressing the officials to prevent the display of the concert until the heirs have obtained their rights."

The heirs of Abdel Halim further asserted in their statement that they will file an urgent request to stop the concerts until the family has secured all its rights, and they will send fold all investigative papers and all documents that prove the accuracy of the family's statements and its legal position.

Artist Hani Shaker recently promoted this anticipated concert, where he wrote on his Instagram account yesterday, Tuesday: "From foreign lands to 'Zay El Hawa' and 'Qareat Al Fingan' and based on 'Waddad Qalbi' and 'Awel Marra Tehib Ya Albi'... we take you on a journey with Halim classics... in a distinctive, detail-rich evening of delight... a journey to the golden age of Arab song, we meet you on the coming Thursday and Friday."
