Argentinian star Lionel Messi won the Best Player award in the American Professional League, thus becoming Inter Miami's top scorer and the first player to receive this honor for two consecutive years.
This is a new achievement added to Messi's list which seems to be endless, having scored 29 goals and leading the top scorers list, besides providing 19 crucial assists during the regular season.
Messi also became only the second player to win the award twice in the history of the American League, joining Preki, who won the award in 1997 and 2003.
