Food and Drug Administration Withdrawal of NAD products and unauthorized injections from two clinics

Khaberni - Inspection teams from the Directorate of Medical Devices and Supplies and the Directorate of Drugs at the Public Corporation for Food and Drugs carried out an extensive inspection campaign today, Tuesday, 12/9/2025, on the medical clinic sector and cosmetic centers in the capital, Amman, including a field survey, data collection, and targeted supervisory operations for specific goals.

During the campaign, NAD+ injection products were seized and withdrawn, along with other unauthorized injections used in Biohacking practices and intravenous injection of dietary supplements, inside an unlicensed cosmetic center and a pain treatment and palliative care clinic.

The institution confirmed that the inspection teams confiscated all quantities and took the necessary legal actions against the two facilities, due to the use of non-compliant and unregistered products, and for engaging in medical practices outside the legal and medical framework.

Upon tracking the source of these injections, it was found that they entered the Kingdom personally with some travelers and did not enter through the proper routes or official channels subject to the supervision of the Public Corporation for Food and Drugs.

This campaign is part of a regular and strict supervisory plan directed by the General Director of the Public Corporation for Food and Drugs, Professor Dr. Rana Obeidat, to control violations in the cosmetics sector and medical clinics, especially practices related to intravenous injections of unregistered substances and supplements used in a manner contrary to the law.

The institution clarified that surveillance continues around the clock, and it will not tolerate dealing with any facility or individual who uses or trades unauthorized products, or engages in any medical activity without legal licensing and proper registration.
