The Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work announced the organization of the second mass wedding in Sharjah on December 11, at Al-Bayt Mitwahid Hall, Al-Rahmania area, in cooperation with Dubai Islamic Bank, and Neshama Boutique, with the participation of 1086 grooms and brides from various emirates of the country, to support youth and enhance family stability.
This follows the success of the first mass wedding which saw the participation of 157 young men in August 2024.
Mohammed Al Khouri, the General Manager of the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work, said that "organizing the second mass wedding is a continuation of the foundation's programs to empower youth and facilitate the means of marriage," confirming that the initiative aligns with the leadership's directives for 2026 to be the year of the family, focusing on enhancing the role of the family and supporting its stability and cohesion generation after generation.
He explained that the great turnout for the initiative reflects confidence in the role of the foundation and its social programs, emphasizing its commitment to continuing to launch community initiatives that contribute to reducing financial burdens on youth to build stable and cohesive families, in addition to implementing a series of programs that enhance social cohesion values, and support the role of the Emirati family in building and advancing the society and its prosperity.
