Khaberni - Representative Dima Tahboub described the 2026 general budget bill as a "contractive budget, not a developmental one," indicating that citizens need immediate economic solutions that improve their living conditions now, not in the future, which the current budget lacks.

Tahboub added during the budget discussions in the House of Representatives that the debt service is still being paid through borrowing, describing it as a "disaster" especially since these debts are used to cover salaries instead of funding development projects.

She pointed out that the Jordanian individual's share of public debt has reached about 5,500 dinars annually, reflecting the increasing economic burden on citizens.
