Khaberni - The Economic Misdemeanor Court has resolved the legal dispute between Egyptian actress Hala Sedki and her former assistant, by issuing a verdict that orders the imprisonment of the assistant for one month with a bail of ten thousand pounds to suspend the execution, in addition to a financial fine amounting to twenty thousand pounds, after her conviction was proven of the crimes of insult, defamation and libel against the actress.
This judgment came after a series of judicial sessions that addressed the complex disputes between the two parties, which included mutual accusations involving extortion, threats, and financial violations related to their working relationship.
The details of this dispute began when the former assistant filed a complaint against Hala Sedki, accusing her of fraud and breach of trust concerning an amount of one hundred and fifty thousand riyals, the value of a prize won in the program "Thank You Million".
The case file was referred to the competent investigative authorities to continue examining the mutual accusations between the parties.
For her part, Hala Sedki commented on the judicial ruling through her official account on the platform "Instagram", expressing her satisfaction with the issuance of the verdict despite her wishing for a harsher penalty, saying that her former assistant had only seen kindness and care from her towards her and her sister, and that she treated them like her daughters.
Hala Sedki revealed the involvement of a third party in the case, pointing out that a former friend had influenced her assistant to carry out a scheme aimed at harming her, believing that money can buy everyone's conscience, but she forgot that there are still honest and respectable people.
The actress announced that she had filed a similar lawsuit against the friend she described as involved in planning to harm her, on charges of slander, defamation, and libel, asserting that the planner and the executor of the scheme are not much different from each other.
Hala Sedki described what happened as a sad story, expressing her apology to her audience for involving them in the details of her personal life, but she confirmed that they have the right to know the truth.
The actress concluded her comment by reaffirming the innocence of the media personality Omar Zahran from any connection with the case, indicating her faith in her stance and that her account before God is more important than any other person.
