Tottenham Hotspur has opened an investigation into its player Yves Bissouma after a video was circulated showing him inhaling laughing gas.

These days, the British newspaper (The Sun) published photos where the 29-year-old player appears inhaling "laughing gas," which is illegal to possess and use under British law, with penalties including up to two years in prison.

Bissouma had been previously caught inhaling laughing gas in 2024, which led to his suspension for a match from "the Spurs".

The player has been out of coach Thomas Frank's plans, and has not appeared in any matches since the start of the current season.

The club confirmed, "We are investigating the incident and will deal with it internally," in a statement published by the British network (BBC).

Bissouma was left out of the London team's roster this past August for the match against Paris Saint-Germain in the European Super Cup final due to his repeated late arrivals at training.

It should be noted that the Malian player moved to Tottenham in 2022 from Brighton and Hove Albion for 30 million pounds sterling.
