Khaberni - Iraq's captain Jalal Hassan will miss the called-up squad for the World Cup 2026 qualifier play-off in football, selected by Australian Graham Arnold on Monday.
And the Iraqi Football Association announced the national team's squad that will face the winner of the match between Bolivia and Suriname in the World Cup qualifier play-off on March 31st in Monterrey, Mexico.
Iraq, which participated once in the World Cup in 1986 in Mexico, will play a decisive match to secure a qualifying spot for the World Cup hosted by America, Canada, and Mexico next summer.
In addition to the team captain, goalkeeper Jalal Hassan (35 years old) who is not technically ready, defender Ahmed Yahia due to injury, and Osama Rashid, Montadhar Majed, Mustafa Saadoun, Bashar Resan, Karar Nabil, and Amjad Atwan are missing from the Iraq squad of 26 players.
