The city of 6 October in Giza Governorate, Egypt, witnessed on Saturday evening, a bloody incident that resulted in the death of the Egyptian artist Said Mukhtar and the injury of his ex-wife's husband, following a violent altercation that erupted between them in front of a sports club's gate, amid the astonishment of those present at the location.

According to security sources, criminal investigation teams immediately mobilized upon receiving the report, and the body of the artist Said Mukhtar was found within the sports club's premises, while the ex-wife's husband was transported to the hospital in critical condition due to his severe injuries, as reported by local media.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the deceased artist went to the sports club to see his nine-year-old son. While there, he spotted his ex-wife inside a car accompanied by another man, which aroused his suspicions and led him to approach the car to find out what was happening.

Investigations revealed that Said Mukhtar learned during the incident of a customary marriage between his ex-wife and the man who was with her, which angered him and led him to block the car driven by the new husband.

According to preliminary investigations, the verbal altercation between the two escalated into a violent clash, during which the deceased artist used a sharp object he had in his possession. The clash resulted in serious injuries to Said Mukhtar, leading to his death after being taken to the hospital.

Security forces in Giza arrested the artist's ex-wife and her husband, where they were referred for investigation to commence interrogation and ascertain all the circumstances of the incident.

The investigation teams continue to gather evidence, through reviewing surveillance footage within the vicinity of the club and listening to the testimonies of the attendees, to arrive at an accurate depiction of what occurred.

It is worth mentioning that the deceased artist Said Mukhtar presented during his artistic career a number of prominent works, including the series "El-Daly" and "Zahra and Her Five Husbands" and "El-Batiniya", among other works that left a clear impact on Egyptian drama.
