Khaberni - As part of Amman Arab University's ongoing efforts to enhance the digital skills of its students, the university participated in the third edition of the Robbing Balloons competition, which specializes in Competitive Programming, organized by the Atypical Society club. The competition was held at the American University in Madaba, with the participation of prominent student teams from various universities in the Kingdom. The competition was distinguished by adopting a competitive system that includes three teams from each university competing against each other to achieve the highest total of points. Additionally, a team from the school students participated with the aim of supporting emerging talents and encouraging them to develop computer thinking and programming skills from an early stage.
Amman Arab University participated in the competition with three student teams, including students: Laith Haddad, Ahmad Salem, Mohammad Sirsour, Ahmad Abdullah, Ali Al-Ashqar, Noor Al-Za'abi, Malek Khandaji, Ahmad Khassawneh, and Wujood Al-Ghamdi. This participation provided a unique opportunity to test their skills in competitive programming, teamwork, and problem-solving in a real competitive environment, under the supervision of Dr. Mamdouh Jumah, a faculty member of the College of Information Technology, while Professor Randa Al-Wadi, a faculty member of the College of Information Technology, took on the general coordination of the competition in collaboration with the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University.
In this regard, Dr. Rami Sahweil, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, affirmed that the participation of students in this competition aligns with the college's vision to enhance the practical skills and practical abilities of the students, and support their participation in specialized events that develop innovation and excellence. He noted that competitive programming is one of the essential tools that enhance the efficiency of students and make them more prepared for the fast-paced technical job market.
Dr. Samer Ayasrah, the director of the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, pointed out that the center continues to support student initiatives that open new horizons for technical creativity, noting that the participation of students in this competition contributes to honing their computer thinking skills and gives them the opportunity to interact with innovative environments that encourage entrepreneurship in the fields of technology and programming.
It is noted that the participation of Amman Arab University embodies its commitment to providing an advanced educational environment that supports excellence and creativity, and enhances its presence in national events that contribute to the development of students' capabilities and broaden their knowledge in modern technical fields.
