Khaberni - The Iraqi national team achieved a precious victory over its Sudanese counterpart with a score of 2-0 in the second round of Group Four of the Arab Cup, today Saturday.
The goals came in the final moments of the match, where substitute "Mimi" (Mohanned Ali) succeeded in giving the "Lions of Mesopotamia" the lead in the 80th minute, before Amjed Attwan quickly added the second goal in the 84th minute, confirming the success of the changes made by Australian coach Graham Arnold.
With this victory, Iraq achieved its second win to secure 6 points and book a place in the quarterfinals of the tournament, while Sudan’s tally froze at one point.
