Khaberni - The Turkish authorities launched an arrest campaign that involved famous female anchors in the country, as part of their drug enforcement operations, according to the "Yeni Şafak" newspaper.

In an operation carried out by the gendarmerie teams in Istanbul, the anchor Ela Romisa from Show TV and the anchors Handa Sarioglu and Miltam Aset from Beyaz TV were arrested. It has also been confirmed that other names are also detained.

Last October, the Turkish authorities opened extensive investigations that included several artists and celebrities in the country, based on suspicions related to drug use.

According to Turkish media reports, more than 20 well-known figures from the world of art, music, and acting, including singers and actors, were summoned to appear before the public prosecutor in Istanbul.

Later in the same month, 8 famous artists were convicted on charges related to drug use after extensive investigations that began in early October 2025 and involved 19 prominent figures from the art and media scene.

The analysis results showed traces of narcotic substances in the hair and blood samples of these artists, including Dylan Polat, Derin Talo, Perak Tuzunatac, Bergi Akalay, among other stars of acting, singing, and social media.
