The Business College at Al-Zaytouna University in Jordan organized a specialized workshop entitled "Tax Declarations and Electronic Services for the Income and Sales Tax Department", presented by Mrs. Khatam Yusuf from the Income Tax Department, with the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Abdul Razaq Shehadeh, and several members of the faculty and administrative staff, along with a group of college students.
During the workshop, Mrs. Khatam Yusuf reviewed the latest mechanisms and electronic services adopted by the Income and Sales Tax Department, explaining the procedures related to submitting tax declarations, the mechanism for dealing with digital systems, and the importance of tax awareness in enhancing compliance and improving the quality of financial data.
She also emphasized that digital transformation in tax services now forms a fundamental pillar in the development of the financial system in Jordan, noting that providing easy and fast electronic services enhances taxpayers' confidence and raises the level of voluntary compliance.
She explained that the Income and Sales Tax Department is continuously updating their digital platforms and simplifying their procedures in line with international best practices, confirming that the upcoming phase will witness more expansion in automated services that enable taxpayers to complete their transactions without the need for field reviews. She added that raising the level of tax culture among individuals and institutions contributes to supporting the national economy and enhances transparency in financial transactions.
For his part, Professor Dr. Abdul Razaq Shehadeh, Dean of the Business College, stressed the importance of such workshops in raising awareness about tax business concepts, indicating that the college is continuing to organize quality activities that keep pace with developments in the business environment and government digital services.
The participants showed significant interaction with the content of the workshop, raising questions about the mechanisms of electronic registration and dealing with the tax system, affirming that such events provide them with a deeper understanding of legal and financial requirements in institutions.
