Khaberni - Samsung Electronics announced the launch of its new Galaxy Z TriFold phone, the first multi-fold smartphone of its kind, in a move to strengthen its position in the competitive global folding phone market, particularly with notable expansions by companies like Huawei and Apple's plans to enter the sector next year.
Markets and Availability
The Galaxy Z TriFold is scheduled to be launched first in South Korea on December 12, 2025, followed by China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UAE before the end of the year.
As for the American market, the launch is expected in the first quarter of 2026.
Performance and Technical Specifications
The phone uses Samsung's custom "Snapdragon 8 Elite" processor, equipped with 16 GB of RAM and internal storage options of 512 GB and 1 TB.
The phone features a triple-cell battery with a capacity of 5,600 milliampere-hours distributed across the three panels to ensure balanced power distribution, along with 45-watt fast charging that can charge the phone to 50% in 30 minutes.
Screen and Design
The main screen of the phone features a QXGA+ resolution Dynamic AMOLED 2X type measuring 10 inches and a resolution of 2160 x 1584 pixels, with a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, in addition to the external screen measuring 6.5 inches and FHD+ resolution with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a brightness of up to 2,600 nits.
The design relies on an inner fold that protects the main screen, with dual-size titanium Armor Flex hinges for smooth and stable folding, an advanced armored aluminum frame with a back cover of reinforced polymer with glass fibers and ceramics, and the phone features water resistance with IP48 standard.
Camera and Smart Features
The phone features a triple camera system: a main wide-angle camera with 200 megapixels, an ultra-wide camera with 12 megapixels, and a telephoto camera with 10 megapixels with 3x optical zoom. The phone also includes a 10-megapixel front camera for both the internal and external screens.
The Galaxy Z TriFold supports Samsung DeX standalone environment, with the expanded mode feature to extend the workspace across multiple screens, alongside Gemini Life artificial intelligence capabilities and the Image Assistant to provide a superior productive and creative experience.
User Experience
The phone offers a unique productivity experience on the large screen, where three vertical apps can be run simultaneously, and work can be organized smoothly across multiple screens, with the possibility of adding a second screen or using a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to create a fully mobile workstation.
The phone also provides an enhanced cinematic viewing experience thanks to Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology, ensuring smooth display on the external screen.
