The College of Nursing at Al-Zaytoonah University in Jordan organized a scientific lecture titled "Artificial Intelligence Tools in Nursing," within a series of events aimed at enhancing academic and professional awareness, and integrating modern technologies in the educational process.
The lecture was presented by Dr. Alaa Al-Zoubi and Dr. Akram Fatair from the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. Magdi Al-Zoubi from the College of Nursing, with the presence of several academics, administrators, and students.
The lecturers discussed the role of artificial intelligence as a smart assistant that contributes to enhancing human capabilities and improving the quality of healthcare. They emphasized the importance of empowering nursing students with the skills to handle these modern tools. The lecture also simplified technical concepts and reviewed practical applications such as clinical decision support systems and smart monitoring, in addition to discussing ethical challenges related to patient privacy and algorithmic bias.
At the end of the event, the participants emphasized the need to prepare nurses to work in smart hospital environments to ensure their readiness for the future job market.
The Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Hassan Abu Al-Ruz stressed the importance of enhancing joint scientific research and intensifying specialized lectures and workshops to keep up with the rapid developments in artificial intelligence in healthcare.
