Khaberni - Syrian authorities stated that forces from the Israeli occupation army carried out 3 incursions on Wednesday evening into several villages in southern rural Quneitra, southwest of the country, in a new disregard for U.S. President Donald Trump's calls for de-escalation.

The Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that an occupation patrol penetrated from the Adnaniya point towards the southern rural Quneitra villages, where it stationed itself in the village of Umm Azam at the crossroads leading to the villages of Al-Mashirfa and Al-Sa'ayida and to the village of Ruwaihina, and established a temporary barrier.

Earlier on Wednesday, local sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted the Tal Bat al-Ward area in the vicinity of the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside with 3 missiles, hitting empty land without causing any injuries, according to Al Jazeera.

Last Friday, an Israeli patrol penetrated the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside of southern Syria, leading to an armed clash with the locals, resulting in the injury of 6 Israeli military personnel, including 3 officers.

Following this, Israel committed a massacre in retaliation against the town's residents who tried to defend their land, through an aerial aggression that resulted in the death of 13 people, including women and children, and injured about 25 others.

Ignoring Trump's Calls

In an effort to calm tensions between the sides, Trump, in a post on his platform "Truth Social" last Monday, asked Israel to maintain a "strong and genuine dialogue" with Damascus, and to ensure that "nothing happens that would interfere with Syria's development into a prosperous state."

In recent months, Israeli-Syrian meetings were held in an attempt to reach security arrangements that ensure Tel Aviv's withdrawal from the Syrian buffer zone, which it occupied in December 2024.

Although the Syrian government posed no threat to Tel Aviv, Israel continues to carry out land incursions and air raids that killed civilians and destroyed sites, military vehicles, weapons, and ammunition of the Syrian army.
