Khaberni - The United Nations expressed significant concern regarding the ongoing violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, including breaches of the ceasefire.
The United Nations, through its media spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, stated that these breaches and the continued presence and activities of the Israeli military in the separation area are a violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Dujarric noted that the residents of the Bravo side, which is the eastern side of the Golan, continue to protest in front of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) against the presence and actions of the Israeli military there, pointing out that the UN force continues to engage with the Israeli military to address these concerns and maintains regular contact with local leaders in the area.
The United Nations called on all parties to fulfill their commitments under the agreement, including ending all forms of unauthorized presence in the separation and arms limitation zones, emphasizing the necessity that there should be no forces or military activities in the separation area other than those of the UN force named UNDOF.
The United Nations reaffirmed its commitment to Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
It is worth mentioning that the UN Security Council will discuss the issue of the Golan and the UN force there during the current month.
