The US Central Command stated that the aircraft carrier "USS Gerald Ford" experienced a non-combat-related fire that was brought under control.
It added that two sailors were injured in the fire and there is no damage to the carrier's propulsion system.
The US Central Command continued: The aircraft carrier Ford is currently operating in the Red Sea in support of Operation "Epic Rage".
