Lula da Silva added: "Because you usually see Trump on the TV screen being very tense. But in reality, he is a different person. There are two Trumps: one on the TV screen, and the other in reality."
Yesterday, Trump said that he discussed the current American sanctions against Brazil with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in a conversation that the American leader described as good.
During the mentioned call, trade and economic issues, and the fight against organized crime were discussed.
On November 23, Lula da Silva called for the prevention of a military confrontation in the Caribbean and Venezuela regions. He also announced his plans to discuss the American military presence in the Caribbean with Donald Trump.
In early October last year, the two presidents had a telephone call, re-engaging in dialogue amid strained relations following Trump imposing tariffs on Brazilian products and restrictions on Brazilian officials. The leaders agreed to meet in person in the near future.
