The Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Al-Ahliya University hosted pharmacist Nadine Abu Qayas, a business development specialist in the company Pioneer Pharma, where she presented a specialized seminar via Microsoft Teams that covered the topic of business development in the pharmaceutical industries from a professional and practical perspective.
This was part of the activities of the "Graduation Project" course under the supervision of Dr. Bayan Abu Raas and in cooperation with the Alumni Monitoring Committee at the college.
During the session, Abu Qayas discussed the business development departments and related job roles, and explained why pharmacy graduates are suitable for working in this field, showcasing a real case from the job market that highlights the nature of the tasks and available opportunities. The session provided the students with a deeper understanding of promising career options outside the traditional pharmaceutical field, in addition to clarifying the skills required for success in this specialty..
On another note, the Faculty of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the "Kuluna lil-Khair Ahl al-Khair Charity", participated in the free medical day held at Ain Al-Basha Secondary School for Boys in Ain Al-Basha, reflecting the university's pioneering role in serving the local community and enhancing health awareness.
Several faculty members directly supervised the students during the event, organizing and preparing medications for dispensing, dispensing the drugs to patients after doctors evaluated their conditions, and providing pharmaceutical advice to ensure the correct and safe use of the treatment.
Faculty members also delivered educational lectures on the proper use of antibiotics, emphasizing the risks of taking them without a prescription or using them in the treatment of viral infections, which contributes to the spread of antibiotic resistance—one of the most significant global health challenges.
