College of Information Technology at Arab Amman Participates in the 9th Arab Conference for Professional Training

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research, the College of Information Technology at Arab Amman University participated in the 9th Arab Conference for Professional Training and the accompanying exhibition, organized by the Jordanian Trainers Association in cooperation with the Amman Chamber of Commerce and the Amman Chamber of Commerce Training Academy and the Arab Trainers Union, which was held at the Amman Chamber of Commerce Theatre in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan over two days, as part of the vocational and technical education and training track within the framework of Arab and international qualifications, with the participation of a group of researchers and academics from various universities and sectors.

Dr. Magdi Salama, a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science, represented the College of Information Technology at the conference's activities. He participated in scientific and dialogical sessions that discussed key themes related to the future of vocational and technical education and its role as a main pathway for lifelong learning. In addition to reviewing successful institutional experiences in adopting international qualification frameworks and enhancing Arab and international partnerships and cooperation, Dr. Salama indicated that the sessions explored issues of linking educational outputs to the changing needs of the job market and enhancing dialogue between the academic and economic sectors.

Dr. Salama pointed out that the conference included a specialized educational exhibition that allowed participating institutions to display their programs and leading initiatives, including international granting programs such as Pearson and other accredited global institutions in the fields of education and training, where the conference included a wide attendance of scholars, researchers, university representatives, and trainers from the public and private sectors, reflecting the growing interest in the role of education and training in building the knowledge economy and enhancing innovation and sustainable development.

In this regard, Dr. Rami Sewail, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Arab Amman University, emphasized the college's ongoing commitment to participating faculty members in specialized scientific conferences and symposiums, representing an important platform for enhancing academic communication and exchanging experiences with experts and specialists at Arab and international levels. He explained that these participations open broad prospects for faculty members to explore the latest global practices and trends in the fields of vocational and technical education and training, which contributes to the development of plans and curricula and improving the quality of academic programs in line with international accreditation standards and the changing needs of the job market.

The participation of Arab Amman University in the conference activities reflected its firm commitment to supporting the education, training, and innovation system, and enhancing cooperation with policymakers, education and training experts, and representatives of business and industry sectors, as well as international and regional organizations specialized in accreditation and granting of international qualifications, entrepreneurs, and innovators. The conference truly served as a bridge linking educational innovation to workforce development requirements, by bringing together education and training leaders with leaders of the private sector and international institutions in one event, contributing to advancing the journey of vocational and technical education towards new horizons that meet future aspirations.
