Khaberni - In a horrific tragedy in the state of Wisconsin during the Thanksgiving holiday, a mother named Jordan Viasby lost her three children after a fire broke out in their father's apartment, a tragic incident that transformed the celebration atmosphere into a devastating calamity, turning the family's life upside down.
According to American newspapers, the mother recounted spending Thanksgiving morning with her children Riley (10 years), Connor (9 years), and Alina (7 years), before dropping them off at their father's house for the night as part of shared custody arrangements. However, only hours later, a sudden fire erupted inside the apartment, and the mother subsequently lost her three children.
The father's lone survival
Authorities confirmed that Riley and Connor died instantly inside the apartment, while the young girl Alina was airlifted to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The father, who was present with them, suffered from smoke inhalation and received treatment before being released from the hospital.
So far, the cause of the fire is unknown, and the fire department said the investigation might take weeks before reaching a conclusion. The mother sent a final message to the media and told all parents: "Hug your children… enjoy them this Christmas, you never know when it might be the last moment."
The incident also sparked a broad wave of debate across social media, where tweeters accused the father of causing the death of his three children, based on his sole survival from the fire while the children all perished.
Others saw that the previous disagreements between the parents after their separation might open up suspicions about the circumstances of what happened, calling on authorities to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation to reveal the truth of what happened inside the apartment that night.
In contrast, another group of users urged caution and refraining from making accusations before the official investigation results are released, affirming that the incident could be a mere tragedy and nothing more.
