Khaberni - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that Venezuela provides a foothold for Iran, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and even Hezbollah.
In comments to American Fox News, Rubio said that the regime of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro allows the smuggling of cocaine and drugs produced in Colombia through Venezuelan territory into the United States.
Rubio added that the Venezuelan regime is a source of destabilization in the entire region, and that U.S. President Donald has issued a mandate for a drug combat mission in the area.
Rubio continued to Fox News saying: "Maduro being upset about the presidential mandate against drugs indicates that they are being smuggled from Venezuela," claiming that the Venezuelan president has made five deals with various parties over the past years and has breached them all.
This comes, while a report published by CNN states that Trump's adventure in Venezuela is getting out of control.
The channel reported that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump finds itself facing an escalating dilemma in Venezuela, where the regime change adventure risks turning into a strategic, political, and legal quagmire.
