"The Prince," a Milan player, revealed secrets of success for "Zizou" as a coach with Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane, the French football legend, coached Real Madrid between 2016 and2018 in his first term, then he returned to lead the "Royal" team for another two years between 2019 and2021.
Luka Modric was one of the prominent players in the team lineup under "Zizou," who led the team to win the UEFA Champions League 3 times.
Modric said in a television interview with one of the Croatian channels: "We looked at him like children upon his arrival. We talked to him, and we trained with him. When he was an assistant to Carlo Ancelotti he was reserved, but when he became a technical director, he was exceptional".
Modric added: "It was a special period. Zidane has a deep understanding of playing methods and technical aspects. He rotated players; because he trusted everyone".
And continued the Croatian legend: "Sometimes he would join us in training sessions. He didn’t run much, but his quality was incredible".
