Khaberni - Carlos Queiroz, the Portuguese technical director for the Oman national team, held the Jordanian referee Adham Al-Mukhadma responsible for the defeat to the Saudi national team in the Arab Cup 2025.

Oman's team lost to their Saudi counterparts with a score of 1-2, at the Education City Stadium in Qatar, in the first round of the group stage of the Arab championship.

After the match, Queiroz appeared in a heated interview with the Qatari "beIN Sports" channels, holding a tablet showing a scene from the match, speaking very emotionally.

The Portuguese coach said in his brief interview, "You have screens, and what happened in the match was unacceptable, how can that not be a red card?"

Queiroz was pointing out Saudi player Nawaf Boushel's intervention against a player from the Oman team in the 83rd minute of the game, where he believed it deserved a red card, while Al-Mukhadma only gave a yellow card.
