Khaberni - The "Alternative for Germany" party branch in Herford city decided to expel politician Alexander Eichwald from the party's faction in the city council, located in western Germany, after he delivered a speech in a style similar to Hitler's.

German parliament member Maximilian Kneller of the "Alternative for Germany" party told the German news agency on Monday evening that politician Alexander Eichwald appeared at the founding event for the party's new youth organization in the city of Giessen on Saturday.

Kneller stated that preparations are currently underway within the local branch of the "Alternative for Germany" party to initiate the expulsion procedures for Eichwald.

Kneller said that Eichwald had only joined the party a few weeks ago and is hardly known to anyone.

He added that "those who knew him said he never used to roll the 'r' sound, pointing out that he was putting on an act in his speech at the convention and did not pronounce the 'r' nearly like the 'gh' sound as most Germans do, with the late Nazi leader Adolf Hitler being famous for pronouncing this letter in a pronounced manner by rolling his tongue strongly with the roof of the throat."

He pointed out that Eichwald had been acting inconspicuously until his appearance at the conference, suggesting that his appearance in Giessen had been intentional, whether on his initiative or commissioned by a third party, clarifying that this remained merely speculation.

He confirmed that the party immediately agreed on the stance and began taking all measures "to get rid of him wherever possible."

Meanwhile, Alexander Partik, the head of the local branch of the Alternative for Germany in Herford, told "Welt" newspaper channel about Eichwald's membership interview a few weeks ago, stating that nothing suspicious had appeared.

He continued, saying: "He acted completely normal and never rolled the 'r' sound," confirming that he spoke quite differently on the platform.

For her part, a spokeswoman for the city of Herford confirmed this information.

In this context, Eichwald's details were updated on the city council website, which listed him as a member of the "Alternative for Germany" faction since the recently elected local parliament was formed in the city a few weeks ago.

A spokeswoman for the city of Herford mentioned that Eichwald would be considered an independent expert not affiliated with any faction, until changes to committee formations become effective by a council decision in mid-December.

Futhermore, Eichwald had applied in Giessen for a position on the executive board of the new youth organization for the "Alternative for Germany" party, known as "Generation Germany".

During his nomination speech, he gestured with his finger and delivered extreme right-wing slogans in a sharp tone using a strong pronunciation of the 'r' sound by rolling his tongue from the roof of the throat, which reminded listeners of the style of Nazi Chancellor Adolf Hitler.

Since then, there have been widespread discussions within the "Alternative for Germany" and online about whether this was a deliberate and planned act.
