Khaberni - The Israeli army launched a raid on the Aisha Bakkar area in Beirut on Wednesday morning, reports indicated that the bombardment was carried out by naval forces and targeted a building.
Channel 12 Israeli reported that 4 people were killed in a raid on an Islamic group's office in Beirut.
In the latest field developments in Lebanon, the Israeli army launched a new raid on the southern suburbs of Beirut, while the Lebanese Health Ministry announced two deaths in two raids on the area of Al-Houche and the town of Qlaoui in the south of the country. The Israeli army said it targeted sites belonging to Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran.
Last week, Lebanon was drawn into the ongoing war in the Middle East when Hezbollah attacked Israel in response to the assassination of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in American-Israeli raids.
Israel, which continued to target Hezbollah despite a ceasefire agreement in 2024, has since then launched attacks throughout Lebanon and conducted ground incursions in the border areas.
The Lebanese National News Agency officially reported that "the Israeli enemy launched a fierce raid on the Lilaki area in the southern suburbs".
Footage by Agence France-Presse showed smoke columns rising from the targeted area.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced on Wednesday that it began a "wave" of raids targeting "Hezbollah's infrastructure in the suburbs".
Hezbollah, in separate statements on Tuesday, said its fighters attacked "enemy gatherings" in the southern border towns of Al-Khayyam and Al-Addaisseh, and launched rockets at Israel including on a "missile defense site" south of Haifa.
It later reported that it engaged with an Israeli force near the border town of Aitaroun using "light and medium weapons".
The Lebanese government's Disaster Management Unit reported in its daily report that the number of internally displaced persons due to the war, since March 2, reached 759,300, with more than 122,000 people in official shelters overseen by the government.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that "successive raids by the Israeli enemy" on the southern town of Qana in the district of Tyre resulted in five deaths and five injuries.
In the town of Hanaway in the district of Tyre as well, the ministry reported three deaths, including a paramedic.
