Khaberni - The Parliamentary Legal Committee, during a meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of Representative Aref Al-Saaydeh, approved a draft amendment to the Sharia Enforcement Law for the year 2025, in the presence of the Sharia Representative Mansour Al-Tawalbeh.

Al-Saaydeh explained that the committee approved the project after making the necessary amendments to it, and taking into account the opinions of the related entities.

It is noted that the reasons justifying the draft law are to simplify the procedures for the enforcement of Sharia judgments, accelerate the delivery of rights to their rightful owners, give the debtor a chance to work and earn to meet his obligations, and to reduce the resort to imprisonment as much as possible, in addition to developing methods of Sharia enforcement in dealing with the convicted.

The meeting was attended by Representatives: Aya Allah Freihat, Bayan Al-Mahasiri, Nasser Al-Nawaserah, Mohamed Bani Melhem, Abdel Halim Al-Ananbeh, Mohamed Salameh Al-Guweiri, and Rania Abu Romman.
