Khaberni - President of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, chaired two separate meetings today, Monday, for the Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Committee, and the Youth, Sports, and Culture Parliamentary Committees.

Al-Qadi emphasized the importance of transitioning towards the digital economy, given the rapid technological advancements globally, stressing the necessity to keep pace with these fast changes which positively reflect on the Jordanian economy and the quality of services provided to citizens.

He also emphasized the need for the legislative system to support the digital transformation path and align with it, affirming in this regard the directions of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince on the importance of digital transformation to create job opportunities and reduce unemployment, in addition to moving towards electronic services to facilitate for the citizens.

While chairing a part of the meeting of the Youth, Sports, and Culture Committee, Al-Qadi said that Jordanian youth enjoy the support and care of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein, believing that the youth are the fundamental pillar in the journey of building and development.

The President of the House of Representatives affirmed that empowering youth and women across various levels came following the directives of His Majesty the King through the political modernization framework.

He mentioned the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince regarding the return of military service within a comprehensive national vision for investing in the energies of Jordanian youth and safeguarding national achievements and serving and defending the homeland through the efforts and minds of the country's youth.

Al-Qadi pointed to the need for cooperation and networking between the Parliamentary Youth Committee and universities, clubs, and youth centers and to open channels for dialogue and listening to their opinions and aspirations.
