Mohamed Adel Imam Resumes Filming The King After the Terrifying Fire

Khaberni - Just a few days after the major fire that engulfed the set of "The King" series in Studio Misr, Mohamed Adel Imam surprised the audience with news of the resumption of filming and its high-spirited recommencement.

Mohamed Imam shared photos from the filming site on his Instagram account, where he appeared alongside the crew, confirming the official resumption of filming and wrote: "With Allah’s help and will, today we resume filming 'The King' series.. A special thanks to producer Abdullah Abou El Fetouh for his persistence and determination to continue filming despite the significant losses incurred."

In turn, producer Abdullah Abou El Fetouh posted new behind-the-scenes shots, featuring Imam and the crew, announcing that the external filming had indeed resumed, and affirming: "Wait for us in Ramadan 2026.. Pray for us."

The series stars Mohamed Adel Imam, Hanan Motawie, Amr Abdel Gelil, Emad Rashad, Mirna Jameel, and is written by Mohamed Salah El Azab and directed by Sherine Adel, with new names to be revealed soon.

It is worth mentioning that a massive fire broke out in the main set of the series inside Studio Misr last Friday, which resulted in significant losses at the filming site; however, the crew managed to quickly overcome the crisis, especially after Imam reassured the public that the damages were only material and that all team members were safe.

Imam previously commented on the incident, saying: "It is the decree of Allah and what He wills happens... What happened was a tough test at a difficult time," and he also extended special thanks to the Ministry of the Interior and the Civil Defense forces for their efforts, and to the producer Mohamed El Sayed and his team who risked themselves to save the equipment and costumes.
