Khaberni - The Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Al-Adwan, chaired today, Sunday, the national committee meeting to study and establish the general framework for the football clubs' privatization project.
The committee includes the Vice President of the Jordan Football Association, Marwan Jumah, the Secretary-General of the Association, Samar Nassar, the Chairman of the Licensing Committee of the Association, Ramzi Nzha, and representatives from the Ministries of Local Administration, Finance, Investment, and the Greater Amman Municipality.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms of the general framework for the football clubs' privatization project, the application of best global practices to enhance the football system, and stimulation of private sector investment in the sports sector, translating the Royal directives towards uplifting the sports sector in the Kingdom.
The committee members emphasized the importance of empowering the clubs and applying financial and administrative governance, studying the best models for privatization, developing necessary legislations, arriving at modifying the clubs and youth bodies system, and setting standards that regulate the sports activities in the clubs.
