Khaberni - Daria Lebedeva, the head of the unified press office for the courts of Saint Petersburg, announced that drinking "Chinese hemp tea" was the reason for revoking the driver's license of a city resident.

In her Telegram channel, Lebedeva stated: "On September 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, Dmitry Agafonov was driving a Chevrolet Klac in an unbalanced state on Oktyabrskaya Bridge, when he was stopped by the police who took biological samples from him, revealing the presence of cannabis substances in his body."

Lebedeva explained that the man admitted his guilt in court, and that the cannabis found in his urine was a result of his drinking Chinese tea, as the packaging instructions indicated that it contained cannabis or marijuana in addition to regular tea leaves.

She added, "Dmitry has some interesting tea. Importantly, the man realized his mistake, and we are confident that he will not drink this tea again."

Accordingly, the judge of the judicial district No. 142 in Saint Petersburg decided to revoke Dmitry's driver's license for one year and nine months and imposed a fine of 45,000 rubles.
