Khaberni - Media reports have confirmed that there has been increased activity regarding the future of Bernardo Silva, the Manchester City star, as his contract expiration approaches this upcoming summer.

Transfer News Live reported on Twitter, citing the Italian website Calciomercato, that Juventus and Milan have entered into direct contacts with the player in recent weeks to explore his stance and the possibility of signing him on a free transfer.

It was explained: "The two Italian clubs see Silva as a potentially exceptional technical addition to the Italian league, especially with top clubs aiming to bolster their lines with players who have extensive European experience."

It added: "These movements come at a time when Saudi clubs have started to show clear interest in the player, although Bernardo Silva still prefers to stay in Europe and continue his career at the highest levels."

The Portuguese star considers moving to the Italian league among the serious possibilities on his table, following in the footsteps of prominent names such as Luka Modric and Kevin De Bruyne, who moved to Milan and Napoli respectively.

Despite the Italian enthusiasm to sign him, his current salary with Manchester City, which is around ten million euros annually, could pose the biggest obstacle in the negotiations, especially in light of the financial balances that Italian clubs have been maintaining in recent years.
