Khaberni - Rawan Al-Khaled spoke about her role in the movie «Hujayr» scheduled for release on April 2, confirming her connection with the character and sharing part of her emotions.
Actress Rawan Al-Khaled expressed her happiness with the character «Alia» whom she portrayed in the film «Hujayr», set to premiere in theaters across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on April 2.
The film was screened at several festivals, among them the thirteenth edition of the Dakhla Film Festival in Morocco, and the third edition of the Hurghada Festival for Youth Cinema, receiving widespread critical acclaim.
Rawan Al-Khaled shared with her followers on her official «Instagram» page an image of the film's promotional poster, featuring her alone looking anticipatory, and commented: «I portrayed (Alia) and placed a part of me in her.»
The events of the movie «Hujayr» take place in the historic districts of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, starting in the 1960s. It tells the story of a hero with special needs named «Hujayr», who loves music and strives to achieve his goals in life. The story presents a human narrative about hearing disabilities and includes elements of action, thrill, or comedy.
The film is directed by Sarah Talib, written by Amal Al-Hajjar, and stars Khaled Al-Harbi, Abdulaziz Faisal, Reem Al-Habib, Khaled Yassalam, Ibtesam Mohammed, Rawan Al-Khaled, Abdullah Aboud, and the child Youssef Khalil.
In terms of drama, Rawan Al-Khaled recently starred in the series «Daughters of the Bomb», which revolves around four friends connected by a close relationship despite their different social levels and diverse professional paths.
Their life paths intertwine at stations filled with love and challenges, before circumstances separate them, and then events reunite them again at a time that brings new changes in their relations.
The series stars a group of Saudi actresses including Hilda Yassin, Mariam Abdulrahman, Rawan Al-Khaled, Najoud Ahmed, Jabran Al-Jabran, Al-Anoud Abdulhakim, and Shurouq Salem, along with a number of rising stars. The work is written by Abdullah Al-Walidi, Mariam Abdulrahman, Abdullah Al-Issa, directed by Samir Aref, with general supervision by Faisal Al-Issa, and produced by Rotana Gulf.
