Khaberni - On Thursday evening, Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa congratulated the Syrian people on the first anniversary of the launch of the "Deterrence of Aggression" operation.
President Ahmad Al-Sharaa said in the congratulatory message: "O great Syrian people, I bless you today on the anniversary of the start of the battle to liberate all of Syria, a battle of Deterrence of Aggression that worked on overthrowing the entire criminal regime with all its pillars."
Al-Sharaa added: "On this great occasion, I call on all spectrums of the Syrian people, in all their categories and components, to descend into the squares and fields to express their joy for this great battle and to demonstrate national cohesion, unity, and the integrity of the Syrian land."
Syrians commemorate the launch of the battle that changed the course of their country, which began at dawn on November 27, 2024, with a wide military operation west of Aleppo and Idlib countryside, named "Deterrence of Aggression".
The battle marked a decisive turning point that led to the fall of the Assad regime after more than five decades of rule on Sunday, December 8, 2024, and opened the way for a new phase that was an extension and culmination of the Syrian revolution that erupted in March 2011.
