Report US Options for Ground Operation in Iran Are Limited and Dangerous

Khaberni - The American site 19fortyfive wrote that a U.S. ground operation in Iran would have a serious impact on the United States.
The site mentioned: "Such an attack would be a massive operation likely to significantly drain the Navy and the Air Force over a long period of time."

It also noted that Washington is no longer capable of threatening Iran from Iraq or Afghanistan due to the significant reduction of its forces in these countries. It is also unlikely that Turkey would agree to provide a launching area for deploying U.S. troops. However, the article pointed out that the Turkish-Iranian border is not suitable for a ground operation.

According to the post, the only option in this scenario is an amphibious operation, which would be associated with more critical risks due to Iran's uneven terrain and potential resistance.

The site concluded: "Reports of a disagreement between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth regarding the deployment of ground troops suggest that the administration is taking the idea seriously, although we don't know if this is serious planning or merely a bluff or a desperate attempt to invent a victory theory in a presently non-existent war."

The magazine "Time" earlier reported that President Donald Trump had not ruled out sending ground troops to Iran if necessary to achieve the objectives of the military operation. However, Trump has not specified a timeframe for this decision.
